I DON'T KNOW WHY IT TAKES ME SO LONG TO POST PICTURES

anyway, if anyone's interested, here's my two week late photo dump. i actually cut down the number/size from facebook, so if you want to see all of them there's more there. it's still RIDICULOUSLY IMAGE HEAVY, though, so be warned.

picspam, REALLY IMAGE HEAVY )

went to visit chong qing for a couple days. my grandparents are originally from there, so there was a lot of MEETING DISTANT RELATIVES which gets really awkward since i'm not so good with chinese etiquette/hospitality, not to mention i don't speak chinese. the result: lots of leftover food on the table because they HAVE to bring us something to eat even if we say we're not hungry (and if they see the grapes haven't been touched, that's their cue to bring out watermelon), lots of standing around awkwardly because my mom told me not to let them carry our bags for us but they won't let go of my backpack even though i'm ALREADY WEARING IT, lots of TACKLING EACH OTHER to decide who'll pay the check (and then sneaking away to secretly pay it when the other person thinks they've won), and other interesting... things...

i think i'm too used to hong kong and the EXTREME AIR CONDITIONING everywhere. i'm not too great with heat in general so i just kind of died in china since nobody likes acs. i guess i should look forward to japan -- apparently there are over sixty people DEAD from the heat wave.

so we were walking around and my dad was like "oh that restaurant over there serves bunnies" and i'm like "lol i want to try eating bunnies" so for lunch yesterday we ordered bunnies. if you don't know, in some chinese restaurants, if you order fish they'll bring the live fish over before they kill it so you can check if it's fresh and healthy and the right size and stuff. so we're sitting there and the chef brings over a LIVE BUNNY and asks what we think of it and she's holding the BUNNY by the ears and it's a BUNNY and it looks at us with SAD BUNNY EYES and my parents freak out and we cancel the order. later we buy some bunny jerky from a street vendor. (i actually still want to try fresh bunny but i think my mom was too traumatized)

ANYWAY back in hong kong and the usual bla bla bla i should post more bla bla bla. i think i'm just not in the habit. i have too many things to say, they just flash through my mind so quickly and i can only catch like one or two to pin down and write about. going to japan in a few days, looking forward to seeing reo again.

everything is good in hong kong. my brother says if you take something good in new york and multiply the goodness by ten, that's what you get in hong kong. everything smells good, too. like -- even if you go outside and smell all the smoke and gasoline and crap, it still smells GOOD because it's HONG KONG. i'm not biased.

rained a lot yesterday and apparently there's a typhoon warning level three out, though, so we'll probably just be mall-hopping until things calm down enough to walk around (which i'm also totally fine with because it's hong kong). inception comes out here on the 29th so i might see it before i go hahaha.

Your result for The Brutally Honest Personality Test...

Criminal- ISTP

47% Extraversion, 40% Intuition, 93% Thinking, 40% Judging

Rules? Hah! Who needs rules? They merely prevent you from doing your own thing, right? Down with the MAN!

Wow. I wasn't aware that you had access to OKCupid! in prison. And if you're not behind bars, all signs say you're well on your way there in the near future.

You love taking risks. You love the adrenaline rush of extreme sports. You love taking action. Generally, anything that's idiotic, you're in. Wanna light yourself on fire and dive from a 500 metre high cliff into shark-infested waters? I'll write your name down.

However, you do need a lot of alone time because that's when you can finally sort things out in your mind most clearly.

If it wasn't for your analytical and logical skills, I'd vouch that you didn't have a brain at all. The fact that you do have a brain merely means that the likelihood of you being a criminal has just gone up.

Thankfully, you're most probably a good athlete, which will help when running away from the police. If not, prison doesn't seem too far away from you at all.

Just please... stay far away from me.
